Learn the fundamentals of punch needle rug hooking with Rose Pearlman. This introductory class includes all the necessary techniques, tools, and materials you need to create your first hooked piece. From wall hangings to home goods, rug hooking can create a large variety of art and functional objects. The punch technique is simple to learn and is suitable for all levels of experience.

Supplies: All supplies provided. Each student will receive an Oxford Punch Needle, foundation cloth, wooden frame, a selection of fibers in an assortment of colors, and an instructional booklet with resource guide for continuing on your own.

Sustenance: Light snacks and beverages will be provided.

Rose Pearlman is an artist, teacher, and textile designer.  With a background in fine arts and a love of well designed functional objects, her creations blur the lines between art and craft and pushes the boundaries with non-traditional techniques and materials.  Rose teaches monthly rug hooking workshops in and around her home in NYC, and also welcomes commissions for one of a kind constructions in decor and home furnishings.  Her work has been featured in fiber magazines, galleries, and numerous online design sites. She lives in Brooklyn, NY with her family.
