You'll also get a flower identification book with hand-drawn illustrations by Colie, and if time permits we'll learn how to make a hand-tied bouquet, perfect for a gift.

Supplies: All supplies will be provided.

Sustenance: Light refreshments and beverages will be provided. All students are welcome to bring something more substantial if you anticipate needing a proper meal.

Colie Collen is a self-taught floral designer and writer living in Troy, NY. After farming and teaching urban gardening for several years, in 2013 Colie started Flower Scout, and she now designs with florals for weddings and other events. She also grows flowers and herbs on an reclaimed urban lot, and focuses on the ways that her arrangements can pay homage to the season and place in which they're made.
