Fortune Favors the Brave: a conversation and a celebration of the release of Lisa Congdon's new book of hand-lettered quotations
Join us in the attic at Drop Forge & Tool on August 26th for a conversation and Q & A with our August resident artist, the very awesome Lisa Congdon. Doors will open at 6pm, wine and cheese will be served, and a lively discussion of bravery, art, and authenticity will ensue. Lisa will be signing books in her inimitable hand after the talking.

The Exchange produces curated marketplaces and develops programming to cultivate and support the makers + collectors in and around Hudson, NY. Bringing these makers + collectors of diverse creative disciplines out of their individual studios, farms, and kitchens, Hudson River Exchange takes inspiration from the history of its namesake river of bringing together people, ideas and commerce.

Aside from hand-lettering, artist and illustrator Lisa Congdon is best known for her colorful paintings, drawings, and pattern designs. Her other books include Whatever You Are, Be a Good One, and Art, Inc, also from Chronicle Books. She keeps a daily blog about her life, work, and inspirations called Today is Going to be Awesome.
